Day 10 - Wrapping Paper

Are you kidding me?!

I haven't even done my Christmas shopping yet let alone think of wrapping gifts!!

Between a 4 day prelim/final swim meet we hosted and taking Madison to go see a Beyonce concert in Phoenix last weekend I am just trying to get the house back in order!

Day 9 - Something I am Reading

Yeah, right...

I wish I had time to read something other than a recipe.

I am cooking, cleaning, driving teenagers around or spoiling Suzy.

I don't know if you can tell on this web pic but my eyes are crazy different colors and I did not photoshop this pic.

Day 8 - Ornaments

STILL at the swim meet and the only ornaments I see is all the hardware the kids are earning!

Day 7 - Bright

We are STILL at the swim meet and the only thing bright is the sun and how the kids are swimming in this cold weather!!

Day 6 - Shopping

I know today is supposed to be shopping but we are still at the swim meet morning and night.

The only shopping we are thinking of is where to go buy boots that are dry AND warm!!

Day 5 - Today's Temperature

It's funny that the topic for today was "Today's Temperature".

It has been warm and sunny... until today.

It was freezing with highs barely in the 50s.

And worse yet, our 4 day home swim meet starting tonight.

My poor kids had to swim the mile tonight.

Luckily both had great swims!

It is always joyous around here when the kids are home ;)

Good Morning!

I don't know why but I have totally forgotten about my blog.

How could I leave my 5 followers hanging like that?!

Photo shoot test sites

The weather is a little cooler so Madison let me take her out to test out some good sites for pictures.

We tried the park. There was some good trees but it was too open.

Then we tried a bridge on the wash path. The shadows were difficult to work with and the sun was so bright.

I need my assistant but I think we got some good shots without her.

Teenagers

Wyatt and Lucy are officially teenagers now.

Lucy and her friends ran a 5K with Wyatt while Ted and I walked it.

They did it last year too but this year Wyatt came in 2nd to some crazy guy.

Cross Country Championships

Last night was the middle school XC finals.

Lucy did great and finished 5th overall.

She did great! Last year she was 7th and this year more swimmers ran. 

Below is all the swimmers who finished in the top 10! 

Except number 111. I don't know how she got in the pic ;)

Suzy's Long Run

I ran 8 miles at 5am while Wyatt was at swim practice and then Suzy and I hit the trails for 4 more miles after we dropped all the kids off at school.

She needs a big drink of water!

Spirit Clinic

The Cheer and Pom teams held a Spirit Clinic for little kids.

The kids were divided in groups and learned a cheer and dance routine.

They even had one boy and the Dorado Guy did a cheer with him.

It was late, the kids were tired but they put on a good show!

I was trying to make my lens a macro lens and playing around taking pictures of Birds of Paradise flowers.

Last home XC meet

Lucy had her last home cross country meet last night.

Wilson didn't show so it was just Cross and Pusch Ridge and they both have small teams.

But Lucy and Richelle tried to make it interesting by racing to a photo finish.

They were ahead of the field by a few minutes but were clocked as a tie at the finish.

Richelle threw a complete tantrum at the end because Lucy has never been this close to her and she does not like to lose (although I tried to remind her it was a tie... they both 'won')

Go Lucy!!  Championships next Tuesday... stayed tuned for more drama!!!

Game Day

It's still hot here so Ted and the kids went swimming before he had to take off.

Coronado Invite

Lucy had a big Cross Country Invitational today.

She was fifth most of the race until this girl cut her off at the finish.

She did a great job and top 15 got medals.

Mother/Daughter Pommie Day

Madison and I had a fun time at the mother/daughter Spiritline brunch

I love the Pom girls because they don't need to be told how to 'pose' :)

Madison also found out who her big sisters were (girls on the right).

They call her the 'Ginger Beyonce'.
