2013 CDO Spring Dance Concert

Madison had her Spring Dance Recital for CDO dance last week. 

The girls all choreographed the dances (except the strange African one).

I love watching her dance. She was a rock star!

Next was some weird African dance with the CDO Drumline that the teacher HAD to do.

Next was 'Traveling'

Everyone loves 'Bollywood'

Hip Hop always cracks me up 'Femme Fidelity Crew'

Madison liked this one 'Radioactive'

And she co-coreographed the Finale

This was her last performance for a while. 

Next year she can't fit Performance Dance into her schedule.

Hopefully her Junior year...

45 :(

OK. Here is my 45th birthday day...

Woke up to this present from Lucy

Went for a run on the treadmill because it was WINDY and I don't do wind.

This is my new birthday hot pink running skirt and flowery top :)

Had Starbucks.

Went shopping with Mom at La Encantada because now we have a Lululemon.

Mom and I bought matching hot pink Lululemon shirts.

Drove the kids around to all the pools in the OV.

Got flowers from Ted :)

Sunset as I am picking the kids up from all the OV pools.

Had birthday Rubios because I had a coupon for free dinner and it is the only quick good restaurant around all the OV pools.

Mom came over for a birthday cocktail and some birthday tarro cards.

Finally, birthday full moon!

Fun day but I am still 45 now :(

OK. I know I haven't posted anything about my birthday and we are at a swim meet this weekend

Big Day Tomorrow

So Lucy has been worried about how she is going to get me a Birthday present.

That is so sweet but I told her I just wanted my kids to pose for some sibling pics together.

She said she would rather just buy me a gift. Too bad!

Wyatt asked me today if I was going to be 52.

I told him he was grounded forever and I sent Suzy to defend me. 

 And I decided what better way to feel bad about myself than to go to Bikram yoga.

The only good thing about Bikram is the Starbucks next door ;)

5000 Words

We didn't see Madison all weekend. She had to write 5000 words to finish a story for English.

While I was painting for the 5th weekend in a row Suzy was looking for someone to play with.

Suzy found Madison trying to get some Vitamin D to give her a boost but couldn't get her to take a break and go swimming.

Madison did finish the story that was due on Monday only to have the teacher give the class until Friday. Madison was the only one who finished. Shocking ;)

Maybe she will let me post the story...

Senior Boy

Short course swim season is over and the coaches left it up to Wyatt to decide whether to stay in Gold Group or move up to Senior Group. There is nowhere to go after Senior so if he moves he would be there until he graduated. He has the times for it but Senior is a lot more serious than Gold.

He decided to try it out and survived a whole week of training.

 It looks like this is a picture of the newest Senior swimmer.

Wind

I HATE the wind!

It has been so windy the last couple of days that I had to run on the treadmill. Yuck!

It was so windy there were white caps in the pool.

Not only waves in the pool but spray coming out of the corner.

Even Suzy didn't want to go in the water today.
She would rather stay inside and get tummy rubs.

And ride along in Mom's afternoon taxi.

As long as you don't make her wait in car without you.

First Photoshop Pic on New iMac

FINALLY I figured out how to get my photoshop on my new iMac that doesn't have a CD drive.

Anyhow, I made Madison pose for me so I would have a pic to edit today.

I'm so excited that I have a computer that lets me use Photoshop and Lightroom how you are supposed to! Sooo much easier!!

How sweet is this picture?! Just a boy and his puppy.

Waiting all year for this...

We have been waiting actually years to get a new mattress. We didn't want to get one and then have to move it. So I guess we really aren't moving now!

I also got a new computer. I couldn't do anything on my old one anymore.

Now I'm thinking that since I have the old lady adjustable bed I should have ordered a laptop so would never have to leave it!

Hair

This boy really needs a haircut.

Yeah, but he is still pretty cool.
 

 

And he will beat me up if I tease him.

 

Or get mad if Ted tries to steal the spotlight.

 

But it's all funny again when Wyatt realizes he has way more hair than Ted (and better abs).
