2013 Short Course AZ State Meet

The end of short course season is here. 

The kids are ready except the weather isn't helping them out any. 

It is cold and rainy after being 75 and sunny all week. 

A couple sessions were delayed but nobody had to swim in the rain. Rain brings rainbows though!

Prelims were swum in the morning with top 16 making it back to finals at night.

Makes for a LONG weekend!

Wyatt's individual races:

I took a few videos of Wyatt. I forgot my memory card so all I had was iphone.

Wyatt also swam 4 relays with these characters.

Lucy's individual races:

                

The girls were swimming on the other side of the pool so you can barely see her in lane 3.

Lucy also swam 4 relays with the 11-12 year old girls. Here she is with her relay team and the 13-14 girls relay team waiting behind the blocks to race.

Even with our tiny team we still finished 10th overall

Despite the weather the kids did great and cheered each other on all weekend!

This was the last short course meet in the 11-12 age group. Next year they age up!

Now... on to Long Course!!

Band Feeder Night

First... Happy Birthday to my Dad!!

 

Last night Wyatt and Lucy had a band concert at the High School. 

It featured the elementary and middle schools that 'feed' into CDO High School.

They had swim practice at the OV pool by CDO and then a pre-state pasta/poster making party at the park next to the pool.

 Then on to the band concert at CDO. 

And while all this was going on Madison had a track meet at CDO.

At least they were all in the same place!
